Seven Ways to Maximize the Health Benefits of CBD

Can CBD benefits get even better? If you’ve been researching the benefits of CBD, you already know about all of the ways this herbal option promotes wellness.

However, you may not be aware of the fact that you can actually boost CBD benefits using some simple tips. Everything from the type of CBD you choose to the way you choose to take it can influence how deep your wellness experience goes. Take a look at seven simple ways to enhance CBD effects.

1. Be Strategic With Sublingual CBD Application

You may already be familiar with the benefits of CBD oil under the tongue. Bypassing the digestive system allows CBD effects to be even more potent compared to oral consumption. In fact, studies have shown that sublingual delivery of CBD produces superior bioavailability compared to oral dosage forms of CBD. However, there’s actually a way to make a good thing even better when taking CBD sublingually. There’s no need to rush. Allowing the CBD oil to sit under the tongue for a longer period of time can help with absorption for ever better bioavailability.

2. Consume Some Fatty Acids With Your CBD

According to a 2016 study,

“Co-administration of dietary lipids or pharmaceutical lipid excipients may substantially increase the systemic exposure to orally administered cannabis or cannabis-based medicines.”

This ultimately means that taking fatty acids with CBD has the potential to make a dose of orally administered CBD more effective. Some of the foods that enhance CBD by being the easiest sources of fatty acids include cold-water fatty fish (salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring, and sardines), nuts, chia seeds, flaxseed, walnuts, eggs, chocolate, avocado, coconut oil, and plant oils (flaxseed oil, soybean oil, and canola oil).

3. Experiment With Dosages

Don’t assume you have to stick with a dosage just because you have a pleasant experience with the first one you try. While the rule of starting with a low dose is always a smart one to follow, it’s also fine to increase the dosage once you confirm that a specific product is tolerated by your system. You might not realize just how good it gets beyond “good enough” until you jump to a higher dosage.

4. Be Consistent With Daily CBD Dosages

Some people consider CBD a “treat” for when they need some calm and relaxation. However, there’s no need to look at CBD as something that has to be earned during times of challenges. In fact, being consistent with daily CBD usage may help your endocannabinoid system to maintain homeostasis for enhanced effects without lags.

How to Choose Your Best CBD Dosage

5. Focus on Full-Spectrum CBD

If your goal is to get the most benefits from your CBD oil, you have the option to choose full-spectrum CBD oil over pure CBD isolate. While an option like CBD isolate boasts purity, full-spectrum CBD is actually believed to offer the highest level of benefits due to something called the entourage effect. This happens when the multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and fatty acids in the cannabis plant interact with your body to create greater benefits than what can be achieved by a single compound alone.

6. Choose CBD Forms That Bypass the Digestive System

Consider using CBD forms that bypass the digestive system and liver metabolization, allowing CBD to reach your bloodstream and the endocannabinoid system. The highest bioavailability rates come from vaping and sublingual like CBD sprays, oil drops, and liposomes when they are placed under the tongue. CBD transdermal patches and other topical products may provide faster-acting relief as CBD bypasses the digestive system and enters the bloodstream directly through the skin.

7. Cover All Angles

The benefits of taking CBD oil don’t have to stop with what you put in your body. You can boost your CBD benefits without actually taking any more CBD by layering on some topical products. Many people use CBD skin creams and serums therapeutically while also ingesting CBD using oil tinctures, gummies, capsules, and more. While an oral dosage of CBD is focused on whole-body wellness, topical application can help with “spot” wellness for faster, more direct results.

Enhancing CBD Benefits

The options are limitless when you start with quality products. You may not be in a position to experience the full benefits of CBD if you’re not following these seven tips for taking your CBD to the next level. Of course, getting the most out of CBD truly comes down to using quality CBD products. Only source your CBD products from brands that use quality ingredients, offer transparency on dosages and ingredients and conduct rigorous quality-control testing. While CBD is considered by many to be the ultimate wellness hack, you can go even deeper by “hacking CBD” for even stronger benefits using tips that are beyond simple!

I stopped taking the Tylenol at 75 and replaced it with NuLeaf CBD oil. It’s been five years now, my osteoarthritic finger and hand joints work **** free (as long as I take my 30-milligram daily soft gel, costing about a dollar a day), and the slight leg **** I have when walking too long is muscle ****, not osteo. Definitely works for me.
