What does Sleep Aid taste like?

Like all of our CBD capsules, The Brothers Apothecary’s Sleep Aid capsules are packaged in a 100% vegetarian capsule. This capsule greatly reduces any taste of the herbs contained inside. Even still, you may get a hint of some of the herbs used in the capsules, such as light notes of sweet licorice, honey chamomile, and pungent valerian root.

When should I use Sleep Aid?

Sleep Aid is best used before bed, and should NOT be used when operating machinery or driving a vehicle. Sleep Aid is an herbal supplement that is formulated to support deep sleep and relaxation, and contains herbs and botanicals that may cause drowsiness or tiredness.

Advisory: You should consult a healthcare professional if you are experiencing long-term sleep difficulties. Pregnant or nursing women, or those with a medical condition or taking medication, should consult a healthcare professional before use. Please note that CBD is considered an adult-use substance in some states.

Serving Recommendation: We recommend taking 1-2 capsules an hour before going to bed, to fully allow the herbs to kick in.

In addition to full spectrum hemp & melatonin, Sleep Aid is crafted with three powerful herbal ingredients: Valerian, Chamomile & Skull Cap. This powerful trio helps support healthy, rejuvenating sleep, night after night.

• Valerian is a flowering perennial that goes in marsh and moist locations, native to Europe and Asia. In the summer, these plants can reach up to 1.5 meters tall. The flowers and the roots give off a very distinct smell. Valerian promotes natural relaxation.
• Chamomile, also used in our Golden Dream blend, is harvested at the peak of freshness and was also used to promote a sense of relaxation. It is often used as a tea for its calming purposes.
• Skull Cap is a herbaceous perennial mint that grows near marshes, and wetland habitats. It was used as traditional folk medicine to inspire a sense of calm and restfulness.

Made in small batches with USDA organic hemp, Sleep Aid is a simple & effective addition to your nightly routine. Melatonin is added to further promote restfulness, and with just 3mg per capsule, is an effective addition to our superior blend of herbs and CBD.

What is Melatonin?

Sleep Aid also contains Melatonin, which is referred to as the sleep hormone. Melatonin is released by the pineal gland in the brain, and then is released into the bloodstream. It is closely associated with the wake sleep cycle, as the production of melatonin increases in the evening, and decreases during daylight hours. Sleep Aid contains 3mg of Melatonin per serving.

Hemp (cannabis sativa)
Aromatic Oregon-grown hemp sourced from USDA Organic Certified and 3rd-Party Tested farms. Considered “industrial,” with less than 0.3% THC.

Chamomile
A daisy-like herb of the Asteraceae plant family. Sweet, floral & honey tasting that promotes restfulness. A good source of apigenin, an antioxidant.

Skullcap
A flowering perennial plant in the mint family. Skullcap is a comforting herb and it is used to promote overall well-being for body and mind.

Valerian Root
A perennial plant, native to Europe and parts of Asia. These roots have a pungent odor, and have been used in traditional recipes for thousands of year to help support natural relaxation & healthy rest.

Melatonin
Melatonin is produced by the pineal gland. This hormone plays an important role in sleep cycles and sleep quality. Quality-tested & carefully sourced.

Coconut Milk Powder
Freshly pressed coconut milk. Supports cannabinoid bioavailability & rich in iron, fiber & magnesium, and antioxidants like selenium.

Acacia Fiber
A water-soluble dietary fiber exuded from the acacia tree. Sourced from small organic farms.

Vegetarian Capsule
