Insightful CBD Study Results Outlined by Radicle Science
Radicle Science recently released valuable data outlining the findings compiled from their Radicle ACES study that was intended to determine the effectiveness of CBD products.
More than one dozen U.S. CBD brands were part of the study. These brands were investigated to determine if they had the potential to benefit a person for five different health focuses that include their wellbeing, quality of life and sleep. CEO and co-founder of Radicle Science, Jeff Chen MD, explained the need for evidence in the real world that truly exemplifies what millions of CBD users in the U.S. are actually experiencing.

Unfortunately, the CBD industry lacks a lot of scientific research. There isn’t the funding for it and research restrictions. This study from Radicle Science took place over the course of four weeks, using 3000 different participants. Thirteen products were used and a waitlist control group. This is the largest randomized trial ever used within the CBD industry. It wrapped up at the end of 2021.
The results of this study were insightful, to say the least. Of those who participated:
- 71 % of people experienced some degree of well-being improvement.
- 63% percent of people experienced a reduction in their levels throughout the month-long study.
- 61% of people had a change in their sleep patterns for the better, and 47 percent of people experienced less discomfort.
These benefits presented themselves within one to four hours of taking the product in 61 percent of the participants. There didn’t seem to be any differences in people who have used CBD in the past, women versus men, or based on age.
Radicle Science has plans to focus on other cannabinoid studies in 2022, focusing specifically on CBC, CBG, CBN and THCV. These studies will look closely at the effects of these cannabinoids.
