OVERALL – I have RLS, GAD, and MDD. I found these best only for occasional use, not nightly (due to passionflower and lemon balm). Instead, I use NuLeaf Multicannabanoid capsules nightly.
BACKGROUND – I have generalized ******* disorder and restless leg syndrome that makes sleep a serious challenge every night. I’ve recently gone off all several prescriptions and am working towards finding a daily combination of supplements to boost my physiology. I no longer use high THC products as they started inducing ******* for me in my late 20’s. I’m stoked to get back into reaping the benefits of cannabis through low/no THC products, as I believe I chose to self-mediate with cannabis for a reason.
PRODUCT PROS – I liked the combination and ratio cannabinoids in this product (30 mg CBD, 10 mg CBN, 10 CBG) and the convenience of a capsule. I also liked that it is full spectrum (yay for entourage effects) and powdered (I’ve read this means a greater shelf life over oil solutions).
PRODUCT CONS – In short: The passionflower and lemon balm. Lemon balm and passion flower don’t have conclusive enough research for me to feel safe taking them EVERY night. I’m not a fan of herbal cocktails, so purchasing this was my bad, as the passionflower and lemon balm are indicated as ingredients. If I may get into the weeds about it (yes, pun intended!) I personally don’t like paying high money for cannabis products to have other (and, frankly, cheaper) supplements mixed in. Whole herb supplements (as we know from cannabis!) have a plethora of potentially active compounds. Even when supported by research, they can still affect people differently, especially as whole plant supplements with unknown origins of agricultural and processing. Having other health conditions (for me, restless leg syndrome, *******, and ************) makes the risk of adverse effects simply not worth it. Especially when I have no way of separating the ingredients to take them independently and figure out which one is doing what to my body.
In summary, I wish that this product ONLY had the cannabis components. However, I instead switched to NuLeaf’s multicannabanoid full spectrum capsules with 7.5 mg each of CBD, CBG, CBN, and CBC (30mg total) and that’s been helping with my sleep more.
