I have tried both the CBD liquid extract and gel caps. The liquid extract is quite useful when determining what an individual’s dosage needs to be to achieve desired effect. Thereafter, the gel caps are preferable for me since they are easier to add to my evening and morning meds. I’m also such a klutz, I’m forever knocking over or tipping over the bottle when I’m dosing.
As a retired physician, I still like to read to stay current. Accordingly, I learned to read and differentiate between good scientific articles and poor ones. There is very good preliminary data on effects CBD can have through our endocannabinoid system. The fact that we have an endorphin system has, in my educated opinion, begged the speculation that there are going to be many cannabis constituents that will have as real an effect as all the different types of opioid chemicals do on human endorphin system. The cannabis chemicals, so far, seem to work as well but have fewer bad side effects.
I would not hesitate to highly recommend cannabis products over the opioid ones.
Since NSAIDs have caused me to develop a possibly fatal arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). That leaves an old soldier doc, who is now suffering from wear and during deployments and time training in the field, with no available treatment. So, I was grateful for cannabis products and could not get by if it were not for CBD in particular. Now that I’m retired I can now add THC (only a small amount is needed and the mixture with CBD eliminating the psychogenic effects but works better for it’s addition.
